CHINESE CONTAMINATED MILK, RICE, DRUGS

CHINESE PROTEIN POWDER

 

Here we go again.  The Chinese dairy farmers routinely added animal protein scraps to their milk to pass inspection checks of dairy companies.  This raised the protein content of their milk and prevented many of them from facing milk rejection. 

The dairy companies caught on, and the clever Chinese switched to toxic melamine found in industrial plastics.  This mimicked protein in lab tests and again the milk passed inspection. The factory scraps of melamine kept disappearing but no one raised any questions.

The melamine resulted in many kidney failures and some deaths.  The milk was made into candies and shipped to us and other countries.  All this has been recalled.

 

Additives have long helped farmers fool the dairy company tests from protein, fat content, and freshness.  They also added hydrogen peroxide, an antibiotic, fat, starch maltodexctrin, and preservatives, to the melamine and dumped it in the milk.  No one asked questions.

The melamine replaced the protein powder about two years ago.  It was even advertised on line until mid September.  Level of dry powder rose in the milk, but no one could find what was added.

It looks like all this stopped but the flaws in farming methods and lax supervision remain.  It’s hard to police the small-scale dairy farmers who don’t have money to adhere to good dairy practices.  Even the cows were given straw to eat instead of corn.  Other chose cheaper feed options.  All this led to poor milk production.

CHINESE HEPARIN, ANOTHER VILLAGE STORY

The raw material for heparin comes from the mucous membrane of pig intestines.  It is collected, cooked, and dried to create heparin, which is filled in vials and sold to Baxter labs. 

A factory in China gets the raw material from a wholesaler and they have 12 suppliers. Blue ear pig disease recently infected the pigs, and depleted the raw material stock.  The suppliers were forced to get 70% of their raw material from small village factories that slaughtered sick pigs. Many family style barrels stored enzymes, and resins of the pig intestines in wastewater.  The villages accepted low prices and the suppliers bought the material.  Neither certification nor inspection was necessary.

Later, suppliers were forced to use sheep intestines because of continued pig shortages.  We stopped using sheep in the U.S. because of acrapies in the sheep that could be transferred to humans causing mad cow encephalitis.

CHINESE RICE, ARSENIC STORY

Very high levels of arsenic have been found in rice crackers, rice bran and rice from China.  Three billion people live on rice especially from Asian countries.  That is over 1/2 of the world.  Arsenic is known to increase the risk of cancer, especially bladder and skin.

DANGEROUS LEVELS OF ARSENIC

Most of the arsenic is in the form of arsenate and arsenite, inorganic forms of arsenic that sickens people exposed to it from drinking water.  Rice accumulates arsenic.  The Chinese allowed 700 micro grams in its food and drink.  This was recently reduced to 150 micrograms.

Rice has 10 times the arsenic concentrated as wheat and other cereal. This occurs because rice was grown in land near mines and smelters and former cotton fields.  These areas were heavily treated with arsenic pesticides. Paddy rice takes up arsenic from waterlogged soil.  Anaerobic microbes liberate the arsenic. Other crops growing in watery environments as water chestnuts, and water spinach also have high arsenic levels.

Lead in toys, toxic heparin, arsenic rice, and now melamine toxic milk.  Can we still trust the herbs coming from China?
